Green screen for Burnley Road Academy To help absorb harmful pollutants, Calderdale Council has installed a plant-based perimeter fence around the school playground as part of its plans to tackle air pollution. More info (12 June)

Community toilet scheme launches in Mytholmroyd. The public toilets in Mytholmroyd have been demolished. While options for toilet provision elsewhere in the town are being investigated, Calderdale has been working with local businesses to encourage them to take part in a community toilets scheme.
