Hebden Bridge Arts Festival

Festive Fandango is back

The popular Festive Fandango encouraging shoppers in Hebden Bridge to spend locally is back after last year's scheme was washed out by the Boxing Day flood.

Every year hundreds of shoppers join in the Fandango where they receive a sticker for every fiver they spend in local businesses and when they collect five stickers they qualify for a prize draw and a book of special offer coupons.

To help local businesses recover a one off Festival Fandango was organised during Hebden Bridge Arts Festival and the prize hamper was won by David Wallace who lives in the town.

This Christmas, the Arts Festival team have agreed to take on the running of Festive Fandango and have been delighted by enthusiastic response from local businesses of all shapes and sizes.

Arts Festival Artistic Director Helen Meller said: "This has been a traumatic year for our local independent traders who have shown great resilience in getting back on their feet and the Festive Fandango is a way for all of us to show our support for them.

"We know previous Fandangos have kept hundreds of thousands of pounds in the local economy and the response from local traders keen to take part has been amazing so we will have a bumper hamper on offer as a prize this year."

Festive Fandango 2016 kicks off on Saturday, 26 November and any businesses who want to get involved should email sarah@hbaf.co.uk
