Win a pair of Arthur Smith tickets
Veteran comic Arthur Smith is playing a Hebden Bridge Arts Festival gig at the Picture House on Friday 1 July and Hebweb has a pair of tickets to give away.
Arthur has played much every place in the UK, but has a special affection for our town.
"I'm looking forward to coming to Hebden Bridge, the finest place on Earth, so I will be talking a great deal about what I like about the town," Arthur told Hebweb.
"I've done at least one gig in Hebden Bridge, and I've walked round the area a lot as I'm a bit of a rambling man. I have a friend who lives in the town, Kirsty Newton, who was my pianist on the Leonard Cohen project I did, and her parents are from there too.
"I have a picture on my wall at home, taken by Kirsty's dad, of a load of sheep from Hebden Bridge staying balefully at the camera. So I look at the sheep of Hebden Bridge every day."
To win the tickets all you have to do is tell which area of London Arthur hails from? Send email to competitions@hebdenbridge.co.uk. Closing date is midnight Thursday 23 June 2016
More info at www.hebdenbridgeartsfestival.co.uk and the box office is open daily at Hebden Bridge Town Hall.
