Hebden Bridge Arts Festival opens up
Hebden Bridge Arts Festival are holding two open events to find out what they can do to help the town's recovery during their week-long series of events which runs from Friday June 24 to Sunday 3 July
The first is a 'Trouser Town – Back in Business' meeting bringing together local traders to talk about how this year's festival theme, and high profile free events like Street Sundaes, will play a role in bringing visitors into Hebden Bridge
Local businesses will be joining the festival board for the meeting on 3rd March in the Town Hall where they will showcase the Shop Trumps competition encouraging traders to compete to create the best window display.
Arts Festival Artistic Director Helen Meller said, "We have always had brilliant support from local businesses, but given recent events we felt it time for us to step up and offer them our full support as they get back on their feet.
"We will using this informal get together to share visitor data from last year which shows how many people we attracted into town and we want to work with local businesses to remind everyone that our town is definitely open for business.
The festival are also hosing their popular annual open meeting at the Town Hall on 17 March in the Town Hall, kicking off at 7pm where local supporters and sponsors can meet the team and their brand new Chair, Richard Green.
