This Craftaganza event will be held over two days, packing the hall at Holme Street Arts Centre, on 17th and 18th December.

This promises to be an exciting weekend, bustling with colourful hand crafted gifts galore. As well as the increasingly popular knitted, crocheted and hand sewn items there will be paintings, framed photographs, arts cards and calendars. Also handmade soaps, decorations, candles, floral displays and holiday wreaths are among the variety of crafts on show.

There will be an onsite cafe selling hot snacks, lunches, teas and cakes. We hope the Craftaganza will be an enjoyable experience, bringing you quality products from professional designer-makers.

There will be an Aladdin's cave of goodies on offer, all locally hand crafted. Craft demonstrations will add to the exciting mix of crafts to browse. This will be an opportunity to buy unique gifts or to treat yourself to something that you won't find on the high street.

Calder Valley Voices busking

Bring along lanterns, put on a bit of tinsel and wrap up well to listen to Calder Valley Voices' busking round the Christmas tree in St George's Square, Hebden Bridge at 6.45pm on Thursday 15 December.

Singing ancient carols, songs of merriment and even a Laplander's call to his reindeer - if loud enough it may bring Rudolph and his friends along too.

Here are Calder Valley Voices singing in warmer weather at the Whitby Street Choirs festival in July this year with Carol, musical director encouraging them on.

Hebden Bridge Christmas Craft Market

Hebden Bridge Christmas Craft Market. Held in Lees Yard, just off St Georges Square in the centre of town.

The last Craft Market before Christmas and an ideal place to buy original, hand made gifts for that special someone this Christmas. Local crafts workers and designer makers will be selling a variety of products including Jewellery, Handmade soaps, felted and textile products, cards & photographs. Mulled Wine, freshly made hot crepes and spices will add to that festive feeling and keep you warm whilst you shop to the sound of traditional Christmas Carols.

Calderdale Council and the Dogs Trust are running the last microchipping session this year for any dog owners to have their dogs 'chipped, completely free and condition free, on the 7th December between 12:00 noon and 3:00pm at Mytholmroyd Community and Leisure Centre. The dog will need to be there!

At the session attendees willl also be giving neutering vouchers to allow dog owners to have their dogs neutered at a participating vets completely free of charge, before 31st December 2011.

Dog owners do not need/have to be on benefits or be receiving financial support. This offer is open to every dog owning resident of Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd and Sowerby Bridge on a first come first served basis.

Nick Wilding

The Literary & Scientific Society is planning a unique event, a PowerPoint presentation debate with Nick Wilding filmmaker, John Cole historian and Rae Street, Quaker and historical researcher. This is followed by Nick's 40 minute newly up-dated and extremely powerful film John Bright and the Angel of Death.

16h November 2011 is the Bicentenary of the birth of John Bright in Rochdale. Events are being held throughout Britain to mark this important anniversary.

Today, Bright is largely forgotten, but he made a considerable impact in the 19th Century, not only through his seven year campaign with Richard Cobden to reform of the Corn Laws, but also as an opponent of war and slavery. Because of his ten year campaign to extend democracy to more working people, he was given the soubriquet 'the tribune of the people'. However, John Cole will argue that there is another side to John Bright and will question his motives on every issue. To illustrate points, Nick will demonstrate the power of his oratory, with extracts from his speeches and diaries, powerfully portrayed by actor John Stride. There are contributions in the film from Bill Cash, Lord Soper, Sir Bernard Ingham, Sir Cyril Smith, Tam Dalyell and Tony Benn.

What emerges is a highly principled character, who has commanded great respect in his time and since, but who still evokes some strong feelings of passionate hatred in his own hometown.'

Not to be missed. Seating capacity of the hall is limited to 80, so come early to ensure yourself a seat.

Hebden Bridge Community Association is developing a new base for creative businesses next to the Town Hall.

The 'Creative Quarter' is due to open next spring and will include facilities for use by local businesses generally as well as dedicated office space for small creative businesses.

On Friday 25th November we are giving an opportunity for all local businesses to learn more about what the Creative Quarter development will offer. It is hoped that the event will include a 'virtual tour' of the new building provided by our architects, Bauman Lyons.

White Ribbon Campaign Film and Comedy Night

White Ribbon Campaign, the campiagn to end violence against women and girls, is holding a film and comedy night at B@r Place from 7.00pm on Friday 25th November.

We will be showing Provoked, the true story of Kiranjit Ahluwalia who was imprisoned for first degree murder after killing her physically abusive husband. Kiranjit finds freedom in prison and support from both her fellow inmates and from Southall Black Sisters. Provoked stars Aishwarya Rai and Miranda Richardson and is a powerful and moving film.

Following the film showing, the London comedian, activist and campaigner Kate Smurthwaite will conclude the evening's entertainment. Kate has been described as; "A powerhouse of observational wit." Peter Robinson

This talk will take a look at the impact of changing legislation upon the pubs of the upper Calder valley beginning in the 17th century, and will also examine the influence of the brewing companies and their successors the pub companies, from the 19th century onwards.

Peter Robinson has been interested in local and industrial history since his teens and joined the Local History Section of the Hebden Bridge Literary and Scientific Society in 1980. He is presently Treasurer of the Halifax Antiquarian Society, a member of the Brewery History Society and the local branch of the Campaign for Real Ale. In the latter organisation he has been involved in the Yorkshire Heritage Pubs Group.

Jowett Cars: A brief history

John Atack

This evening's topic concerns Jowett Cars: Yorkshire's very own motor manufacturer whose centenary of production was celebrated last year. The talk is not purely technical. It involves the evolution of the family firm and its post-war demise. Characters, connivance and true Yorkshire obstinacy all play their parts and go some way towards explaining why these cars are remembered today, with affection or otherwise!

John Atack spent 37 years with Rolls-Royce in various parts of the globe. Some say they are still looking for him. He bought his first Jowett in Hebden Bridge in 1963 and has been the custodian of several others in the meantime. He is the Vice Chairman of the Northern Section of the Jowett Car Club – the oldest one-make car club in the world.

The Search for Helen

Nick Wilding and Literary & Scientific AGM

Following his rediscovery of the lost silent film 'Helen of Four Gates', made on the moors above Hebden Bridge in 1920, Nick Wilding explores the locations that inspired the writer Ethel Carnie Holdsworth to write her remarkable novel in the first place, and brings to life the world she knew.

The event will coincide with the long-awaited republication of the book that many people claim was her best novel 'This Slavery', written by her at Slack Top, Heptonstall and based on her childhood memories of working as a half-timer in the mills of Lancashire.

He is probably best known for his massive hit Woodstock, which was number one on both sides of the Atlantic. But Iain was also a founding member of Fairport Convention before forming Matthews Southern Comfort.

Apple Day at the Stubbing Wharf

Starts at noon

Guests of the Stubbing Wharf have been enjoying this annual celebration of the fruit that makes a wonderful drink for five years. However, last year it became “a bit of a phenomenon,” as landlord Matt Browne describes. “We offer apple juice, a range of bottled and draft ciders, apple pressing, as well as apple-related food, entertainment and fun and games. But last year, the event became very popular with many cider enthusiasts and connoisseurs from the region and further a field.”

With this growing following and a range of bottled ciders and more than 20 real, farmhouse ciders from numerous craft-producers on draft, the Apple Day certainly is a mini cider festival for the real enthusiasts of traditional ciders.

Charity Walk from the Hare and Hounds, Old Town

A scenic 5 mile walk around the Old Town area. Everyone is welcome, including well behaved dogs on a lead. A raffle will be held afterwards in the pub so please bring a prize if you can.

There will be a minimal charge of £2.50 per walker. However, if you wish to give more or even raise some sponsorship of your own we would be very grateful. All contributions will be most welcome.

The route will be a mixture of paths and tracks, which may be a little muddy in places, so walking boots/shoes are advised. Please also wear clothing suitable for the weather on the day. When we arrive back at the Hare and Hounds at about 4.30pm all walkers will be rewarded with delicious chilli and chips. What better way to spend an Autumn Saturday afternoon?

Groundbreaking British progressive rock band Curved Air make their debut at the Trades on Saturday. Curved Air features original members Sonja Kristina on vocals & Florian Pilkington-Miksa on drums. They are a unique and powerful combination of a remarkable female vocalist and virtuoso musicians that inspired a generation with their renowned live performances.

Liz Lochhead

Liz Lochhead is a poet, performer, playwright, frequent broadcaster, sometime teacher of creative writing and occasional theatre director.

Her in-print collections of poetry, 'Dreaming Frankenstein' and 'The Colour of Black & White' are published by polygon, as is 'True Confessions', her collection of monologues and theatre lyrics. Liz became Glasgow's Poet Laureate in 2005 and in January 2011 she was surprised, and very honoured, to be declared Scotland's Maker or National Poet.

Tonight she will read from her own work and present prizes to the winners of the Elmet Poetry Prize.

Imagine what a Japanese man would make of working and living in Hebden Bridge in 1935!

Koichi Andoh travelled from Japan in 1935 to teach the technique of distinguishing the sex of one-day-old chicks to Hebden Bridge hatchery businesses. He kept a daily diary of his life here - which his son Takayoshi Andoh discovered in the late 1990s. In 2001 Takayoshi made the journey to Hebden Bridge and a collaboration began between him and Stephen to translate Koichi's experiences. The book brings to life the thoughts and observation of a sometimes homesick man from a very different culture from that of the 1930's Calder Valley.

Michael Chapman at the Trades

Yorkshire folk legend Michael Chapman makes a welcome return to the Trades on Friday.

Chapman's career now spans 30 albums including the influential Fully Qualified Survivor feted by John Peel, and recently re-released to critical acclaim. Even indie kids like Supergrass have cited his inventiveness on the guitar, and he remains a consummate live performer.

"Michael has been a regular big name draw at the club, so we're expecting this to be a busy night for a man who is rightly seen as a folk institution, " Trades Club spokesperson Paul Clarke told the Hebden Bridge Web.

Revolver at the Trades

Revolver are a late addition playing the Trades on Saturday talking their fans on a classic rock history lesson playing hits from the Doors through Floyd to Bowie.The band will be DJing afterwards complete with their trademark projections. The fun kicks off at 9pm and entry is only three quid. "The Trades is well aware that rock fans along the valley aren't that well catered for so we hope they will come down as Revolver are a top drawer act who always pack the club," Trades Club spokesperson Paul Clarke told the Hebden Bridge Web.

Mountain bike enthusiasts are being encouraged to take on one of three routes on the Bronte Mountain Bike Challenge in aid of Sue Ryder ? Manorlands Hospice on 18th September.

Punk greats at the Trades this weekend

Aging punks are in for a treat as Viv Albertine and Spizzenergi come to the valley. Viv Albertine was the guitarist in the Slits who created the classic girl power album 'Cut', before she embarked on a solo career and the Clash hit single 'Train in Vain' was written about her. Viv will be showcasing her new material on Friday night.

Spizzenergi play Saturday and are best known for their massive indie disco classic 'Where's Captain Kirk?', voted one of the greatest punk singles of all time . The Midland four piece have had loads of names changes over the years but come with a reputation for high energy shows.

Mychael Barratt and The Summer Print Exhibition 2011

Sue and Phil at The Calder Gallery have a real treat in store with a solo show by Mychael Barratt during their original print exhibition which opens on 29th June and runs until 4th September.

Mychael's very popular and witty images are inspired from sources as varied as fairy tales and Shakespearean plays to paintings by 'Great Masters' and 1960's pop culture. His prints reflect his passion for literature, theatre and film and his irreverent sense of humour runs through all of his prints and paintings. He now delivers house bombs that are being championed by the premier league of artists and has released E.P's on labels such as Tsuba, Neurotraxx Deluxe, 2020 Vision, Dessous and Kolour to name a few.

He's joined by Automatique residents Antony Ellis and Chris Neil have been involved in dance music since the early 90's, supplying the best House music around.

Get Creative at the Todmorden Community College Open Day

Calderdale College is holding at an open day on Saturday 27th August (10 till 2.00) at Todmorden Community College where it teaches a range of art courses including art and design, ceramics, interactive media and photography. These range from level 1 right through to full degrees (awarded by Leeds Met University).

At the open day there will be the opportunity to have a go at a range of activities, including a graffiti wall art, block printing, working with textiles, digital photography, digital image manipulation and lots more.

The Open Day will also have an exhibition of past students' work and there will also be the opportunity to talk to existing students about their experiences of the College. The experienced teaching staff will be on hand to any questions on the courses and to show the art facilities available to students. College advice and guidance staff will also be available to answer any questions you may have about funding on offer to study at Todmorden Community College.

Elements of Yorkshire - Exhibition drawings, prints and flower paintings

I am having an exhibition of drawings, prints and flower paintings at The Festival Gallery on Albert Street, running from 19th August to 24th August, 10am - 5pm.

The title of the exhibition is Elements of Yorkshire. The majority of the drawings are done in rapidograph mapping ink and are as the title implies views of the Calder Valley, with a nod to Ted Hughes Elmet. The flower paintings take their inspiration from Japanese wood cuts and are both colourful and joyful.

Fat Rascals charity fundraiser

The Trades Club is hosting a Fat Rascals charity fundraiser on Thursday to help buy wheelchair and equipment for Lou Tempest and the whole night is being put on in memory of David Paramor.

Lou lives locally and the big heated Rascals will be playing their usual rowdy set full of songs you know to help out with costly wheelchair and equipment expenses.

Support comes from Paul Weatherhead's songs of the surreal which are always a treat in an otherworldly sort of way.

Giselle Murison of West Yorkshire Joint Services will be coming to Old Town Community Centre on Wednesday 13th July. She will provide an overview of the work undertaken by West Yorkshire Ecology and she will present the findings of the Calderdale South Pennines Bird Survey conducted on the moorland fringes around Pecket Well and Old Town during 2010.

The event, which is being hosted by the Wadsworth Environment Group is open to everyone, so if you are interested, please do come along. The event is free, but you will be invited to make a voluntary donation to help cover the cost of hiring the hall.

2011 sees Wadsworth Community Centre launch its first contribution to Hebden Bridge Arts Festival with a fantastic art exhibition and some real workshop treats.

Set in the wild and windy west of West Yorkshire, this is a brand new venture for us and we're hoping that it will become an annual event.

The exhibition is open on the next two weekends: Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd and Friday 8th - Sunday 10 July from 12 noon until 4 pm. It is also about the struggle by ordinary people for an English Bible. The action of the play takes place in parish church during the reign of Mary Tudor. Performance time is around 100 minutes.

Halifax Demo: No to EDL racists in Calderdale!

WE ARE HALIFAX are supporting the unity of multicultural Halifax by calling the peaceful celebration to oppose plans by the racist 'English Defence League' ( EDL) to demonstrate in Halifax on 9th July.

Assemble at 12 noon by King Cross Road, off Queens Road (opp. William IV pub HX1 3JL)

Support is growing in Halifax for the antiracist unity event opposing the racists and fascists of the English Defence League on Saturday 9 July.

The EDL is coming to the West Yorkshire town on that date in its latest attempt to stir up racist hatred against Muslims in the area. The EDL's planned demo in Halifax is part of a summer of hate.

Halifax Labour Party, the Central Jamia Mosque Madni, the Calderdale branch of the National Union of Teachers and the Calderdale and Kirklees branch of the PCS union have all thrown their weight behind the antiracist unity event organised by Halifax UAF.

Halifax MP Linda Riordan and Calder ward councillor Dave Young have also signed a statement backing the unity event and opposing the EDL's attempts to organise in Halifax.

NUT reps from across the area unanimously backed the antiracist statement at a meeting to discuss the pensions strike this week.

There have been a series of racist incidents involving EDL members around the town - earlier this month an EDL thug who theatened two elderly Asian men was given a suspended jail sentence. Other EDL members sang racist songs when the EDL staged a demo in Halifax in April.

Local anti-racists are determined to show that the EDL thugs are not welcome in their town.

Come along and drum your heart out! A fun activity session for children, which is part of our fantastic Art Event at Wadsworth Community Centre in Old Town near Hebden Bridge. Two workers from Hebden Vale Children's Centre will be running an exciting Bongos session. Once you're all drummed out things will calm down a little with a bit of creativity - Bunting Making! and this has no age limit. Children to be accompanied by an adult (Maximum of 20 children).

Friday 1st July sees the return of the annual 'Ramble 'N' Rave night, an event that suits all ages and tastes at Mytholmroyd Community Centre.

The night consists of 3 main elements:

• A Ramble - A family treasure hunt around the scenic locations of Mytholmroyd with a prize for the winning team
• BBQ and Bar ? Catering for all walks of life we will be serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and there will be a vegetarian option on the BBQ
• The Rave ? We will have 3 Local Bands/Singers performing on the night ? with a variety of music to suit all tastes

The open studios weekend is a fantastic opportunity to meet with the participating artists who showcase the wealth and vibrancy of arts and crafts in the Upper Calder Valley. Kate Boyce Solo Exhibition

Local artist, Kate Boyce, is displaying her latest wonderfully vibrant landscape paintings at The Calder Gallery, Market Street, Hebden Bridge. The exhibition preview is Wednesday, 1st June 6 - 8pm. The show will run until 26th June. This will be a great opportunity to see Kate's latest personal interpretations of the local area - a real treat for everybody!

Trachromatism

La Tavolozza, an Artistic Association from Italy will be exhibiting at Machpelah Works, Burnley Rd, Hebden Bridge from 25 June - 10July All are invited to the Inauguration on 25 June at 5 pm.

Professor Roberta Mezzadra will present the uniting qualities of the artists of the Association; strong strokes and pronounced but balanced colors. All together the result, what Prof. Mezzadra calls 'Trachromatism', provokes deep communication and emotion.

The event will include a performance of Alice in Wonderland by the Rough Magic Theatre Company and an afternoon of arts and crafts workshops to help the Mad Hatter prepare for his tea party. This is a free event for children aged 4-11.

Accord Inspirational Gospel Choir

The Hebden Bridge Big Row

On Saturday 18th June from about 1pm in Georges Square Fran Orford, Steve Reader and Ben Raikes will be attempting a marathon (42,0000 meters on each machine - about 4 hours rowing) on Concept 2 rowers.

The Row has been planned to raise money for the Lou Tempest wheelchair appeal. Lou, had a tragic accident before Christmas and suffered severe spinal cord injuries. She is now a wheelchair user but we hope to be able to contribute towards her getting a more appropriate electric version.

Trades Club Beer and Walking Events

Two led walks each day

5 miles or 10 miles through beautiful local countryside the short walk starts at 12.30pm the long walk at 10am boat ending at the Trades Club around 3 pm.

There will be in 11 locally brewed beers from the bar and home cooked pub food available all day.

The walks will take in local places of interest such as Stoodley Pike, Cragg Vale, Hardcastle Crags, Crimsworth Dean, Pecket Moor, Bride Stones and the Colden and Jumble Hole valleys.

The walks will be led by experienced local volunteers. Please bring water proofs and lunch. Stout shoes, or better still, walking boots are also needed. The pace will be set to accommodate all reasonably fit people so don't worry.

Creative Calderdale is pleased to present Nik Powell for our April event. From founding Virgin Records with Richard Branson, to producing Oscar-winning films April's Creative Calderdale speaker brings us his 30 lessons of Creative Success.

In the late 1960's Nik Powell set up Virgin Records with Richard Branson. In 1982 he formed Palace Productions with Stephen Wolley and was executive producer on films such as Neil Jordan's award winning Company of Wolves; Oscar nominated & Cannes award winning Mona Lisa; and Oscar Winning The Crying Game.

In 1992 Powell & Woolley formed Scala Productions where they produced Terence Davies' The Neon Bible, Oscar Nominated and Golden Globe winning Little Voice and Fred Schepsi's Last Neon. Besides his appointment as director of the National Film and Television School, Nik Powell remains the Chairman and also Director of Scala Productions.

Huddersfield Green Festival

We have a range of activities scheduled including a stands and demonstration area in Huddersfield Town Centre, river clean-up, green art and photo exhibition, day-long conference with guest speakers (including Betty's and Taylor's) and a fantastic recycled fashion show.

We have received support from the West Yorkshire Co-operative and any profits made from the event will be donated to the local Friends of the Earth group.

Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team

A Scenic 5 Mile Walk

From the Hare & Hounds, Old Town
At 2pm on Saturday 2nd April 2011

Everyone Welcome (including well behaved dogs on a lead)

This time we are helping to raise money for the Calder Valley Search and Rescue team who are based in Mytholmroyd. To find out more about them please visit their website.

There will be a minimal charge of £2.50 per walker, however, if you wish to give more or even raise some sponsorship of your own we would be very grateful. All contributions will be most welcome.

The route will be a mixture of paths and tracks, which may be a little muddy in places, so walking boots/shoes are advised. Please also wear clothing suitable for the weather on the day.

When we arrive back at the Hare and Hounds all walkers will be rewarded with delicious chilli and chips. What better way to spend a Spring Saturday afternoon?

We hope to see as many locals and visitors as possible ? maybe you'll even make some new friends along the way. We look forward to seeing you there.

Award winning writer Michael Stewart will be reading from his new book King Crow published by Hebden Bridge Independent Publisher, Bluemoose Books at The Hebden Bridge Bookshop, Crown Street at 7.15pm on Monday 21st March. Arts Festival Open Evening

An Open Evening will be held at the Festival Box Office on Albert Street on Wednesday March 23 between 7.30pm and 9pm. Anyone interested in volunteering, fundraising, performing in the Fringe or just finding out more, is invited to drop in and say hello.  Young people aged between 16 and 25 are particularly welcome.

Hebden Bridge Handmade Parade 2011 - ideas sought. Knitted zebra crossings, sheep on skateboards . . . Handmade Parade is calling for ideas for this year's Hebden Bridge parade on Saturday, June 11.

Discovering Lumbutts and Mankinholes

A pictorial journey through these historic Calderdale communities on the hillside above Todmorden. Glyn has been a member of our Society for over 35 years; author of two Calderdale books and the scriptwriter and presenter of six popular historic walking films of Calderdale.

Glyn Hughes reads from A Year In The Bull Box at The Artsmill, Linden Mill, Linden Rd, Hebden Bridge, on Sunday March 6th at 3.0 pm.

Have You Seen My Childhood?

Exhibiition at ArtsMill, Linden Mill, Linden Road

"Have You Seen My Childhood" shows four artists whose work uses childhood as a vehicle to explore identity, memory, relationships, and society. Sue Turner creates ceramics that re-present familiar domestic objects in unfamiliar ways. Don Myers' intriguing paintings invite the viewer to step beyond the obvious and to frame their own interpretations of the narrative. Mary Loney's large, expressive paintings draw upon archetypes and mythic imagery to explore the dark stories of childhood and their implications upon society. Carole Kirk works mainly from family snapshots, producing ambiguous and often unsettling paintings that ask questions about photography and its role in capturing the 'truth' of our past. Put together, the works perform synergistically, creating a multi-layered narrative that encourages reflection upon the interdependencies and conflicts between adults and children, and their legacy upon society.

Calder Valley Organic Gardeners' Potato Day 2011

This popular annual event takes place on Saturday 26th February 2011 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Royal Fold, New Road, Mytholmroyd from 10am to 3pm.

Admission is £1 which includes entry to the Potato Raffle. There will be 44 varieties (organic & non-organic) at 14p per tuber with a pre-order service for most varieties.

The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway

Speaker: Noel Coates

Beginning with the growth of the L&Y from 1847-1900, Noel will go on to give some facts about the size of the Company in 1921, before moving on to show what the railway looked like 90 years ago. The talk concludes with a few local views from both L&Y and more recent times.

Our speaker became interested in railways in November 1959 when he visited an engine shed at Rose Grove to take some numbers with school friends. He later moved across to photography, railway modelling and eventually research and book compiling.

Hebden Bridge Local History Society

Enabling Radio Drama is getting off the ground, into the airwaves! Community Foundation for Calderdale have given Enabling Radio Drama £3,000 to purchase recording equipment, Phoenix Radio are helping us buy the equipment and will train us to use it. Calderdale Small Grants have given us £1,000 to run workshops, write and rehearse pieces for broadcast.

Enabling Radio Drama meets every Friday 1pm-3pm at Holme Street Arts Centre (next to the Post Office) in Hebden Bridge. Everyone is welcome. We need your ideas, your vision. Please join us.

New Year's Day Treasure Hunt

The New Year's Day Treasure Hunt is a gentle, brisk walk around the scenic countryside of Mytholmroyd, suitable for all the family. Families will receive a sheet of clues and a basic outline of the route to follow. The majority of the walk is on well marked footpaths.

The route starts and finishes at Mytholmroyd Fire Station where tea, coffee and cakes will be served. As the event is now in it's second year, the route will be different from last year, but will be of similar difficulty.

The walk will start at 10.30, but families can start whenever they arrive, the latest start time is 12.30.

The admission is: Adult (£2), Child (£1), Family (£5)

All funds raised go to The Fire Fighters Charity and it promises to be another fun and enjoyable event.

The Big Ass Hebden Bridge Christmas Concert

Hosted by Billy Painter and Patrick McCallion, The Big Ass Hebden Bridge Christmas Concert features five local young bands, including the highly popular Fishing for Bishops and Small Words.

Under 18's are welcome and encouraged to come to the event at The Trades Club, Hebden Bridge as it will be the best club around this Christmas to see the best new musical talent and entertainment that the Calder Valley has to offer.

Ticket prices for this event will be £4 in advance and £5 on the night, so reserve early to save some pennies. All money raised will go straight to The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, a fantastic local charity supporting young people who unfortunately suffer from cancer.
