Boxing Day Floods

After regular rainfall for many weeks, the heavy rainfall of Christmas Day and Boxing Day led to the worst floods Hebden Bridge has seen; worse even than the two bad ones of 2012.
Mytholmroyd, Todmorden and Walsden are also badly flooded. People wanting to get from Hebden Bridge to Todmorden and driving over the tops, and taking over three hours. At 1pm, most roads along the valley are impassable.

Flood fund open
Community Foundation For Calderdale has opened its flood fund to anyone affected by flooding in Calderdale. You can apply here. Anyone wanting to donate to the fund can do so here.
