Hebden Royd Town Council Bye-Election: candidate Robin Dixon corrects leaflet
Monday, 12 November 2012
Robin Dixon, one of five candidates standing in this Thursday's Town Council bye-election has contacted the HebWeb to correct a mistake in his campaign leaflet.
"I am delighted to be the Labour candidate in White Lee ward in the Town Council by-election this Thursday and I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many voters over the course of my campaign. I hope by now that voters have been able to read one or two of my leaflets, although a mistake has been pointed out to me in the most recent of these.
"I was Mayor of Hebden Royd in 2010-2011, not 2012 as I stated in my leaflet. As Cllr James Baker suggested in his e-mail to me, this was purely and simply a typographical mistake which I am happy to correct.
"I also apologise for my mistake to Cllrs Scott Tricket and Christine Davenport, who have borne the office of Mayor in such exemplary fashion in 2012."
