GrubHub Update
Tuesday 14 May 2024
Calder GrubHub continues to supply the community with great meals every Wednesday, between 5-7pm, around 50-60 meals each week, we're now on week 88 in mid-May 2024.
Over the past few months funding has been received from Hebden Royd Council to help with weekly expenses as well as equipment, rent and so on.
Donations have also been received from Old Gate and the Community Foundation as well as organisations like the Wadsworth Camera Club. Some individuals make monthly donations too. Valley Organics have been brilliantly supplying vegetables every week.
GrubHub still operates from Hope Baptist Church premises in the centre of Hebden Bridge. Everyone is welcome to three vegan courses i.e., soup, main course and cake/fruit. Please join us.
GrubHub is a collective staffed entirely by volunteers and there is a constant need for new volunteers. There is always a need for new cooks and bakers of vegan buns, cakes and cookies. Other tasks like shopping, food preparation and serving also need to be fulfilled every week.
If you feel you could offer your services, please get in touch via email CalderGrubHubTeam@gmail.com. GrubHub is a great team, come and enjoy the fun and camaraderie.
If you feel you could contribute, please message us on our Facebook page Calder Grub Hub.
Message us on Facebook or email us if you want to volunteer but for whatever reason you are interested, please come to the Hope Baptist at 5pm any Wednesday. We'd love to see you. Everyone is always welcome. It's an open door.
