Hebden Bridge Disability Access Forum AGM
Annual General Meeting
Monday 18th March 2024
2.30pm to 4.30pm,
Hebden Bridge Town Hall and by Zoom video link.
Hebden Bridge Disability Access Forum works to improve access for disabled people in the Hebden Bridge area, and we meet on the 3rd Monday of each month.
In the last year we have revised and published our Hebden Bridge access map.
We have consulted and advised on many local issues including the proposed Screen 2 at Hebden Bridge Picture House, proposed natural swimming pool in Hebden Royd, access to Heptonstall Museum and to Wainsgate Chapel garden.
We have also achieved a new A boards licensing policy from Calderdale Council to greatly reduce the number of pavement A boards in Hebden Bridge Town Centre.
All disabled people who live in, work in or visit Hebden Bridge and the surrounding parishes are very welcome to attend our short Annual General Meeting, which will be immediately followed by our regular monthly meeting. Or contact us about membership. We also welcome non-disabled associates.
We welcome all disabled people as members, whether you are Deaf, disabled, neurodivergent or have a long-term health condition. Together we can tackle the different barriers we all face in accessing places, events, information or services.
We meet on the third Monday of each month. You are welcome to attend regularly, occasionally, or for only part of the meeting, to suit your needs. You are also welcome to raise any access issues by phone or email if you don't want to come to a meeting. We always welcome input from local residents. We sometimes have informal chat meetings too. Please join us!
