White Lee bye-election

From the Liberal Democrats
Liberal Democrats have selected Chris Wadsworth, 49, to contest the White Lee Town Council vacancy on Thursday February 15th.
Chris says, "It's disappointing that this is already the second by-election for Hebden Royd Town Council caused by another Labour resignation despite elections having only occurred in May last year. It's a situation costing local taxpayers thousands of pounds that could have been better spent on community initiatives".
This election offers a real chance for change and Chris is fighting to bring accountability to the Labour run Hebden Royd and Calderdale Council administrations. Chris questions, "What is the point of across the board Labour representatives in White Lee and Luddendenfoot ward on Calderdale council if they aren't going to fight for the basics important to the local community?".
Chris has recently semi-retired, having previously been a divisional safety & environment director for a FTSE 100 company. Chris brings extensive business, local government and third sector experience and has in the past been a charity trustee, school governor and elected councillor.
