White Lee bye-election

Luddenden Foot Labour Party has chosen Steve Woodhead as its candidate for the White Lee byelection to Hebden Royd Town Council on 15th February.
Steve is a Mytholmroyd resident and active in a number of local causes and charities.
"I have lived here for over 20 years and I love the place. I know its strengths and also its needs.
"I am involved in several volunteer roles; I am a governor at a local primary school and actively involved in bringing schools together to ensure our young children and young people get the best opportunities.
"I am a proud founder volunteer at Valley Community Meals and spend every Monday evening washing up for about 40 people who come to enjoy good food and company in a warm space."
Steve's professional career was in community work and is now retired.
Hebden Royd Town Council plays an important role in the local community providing funds for local groups and managing a range of services and facilities, including the Hebden Bridge Picture House.
