St Johns Church, Hebden Bridge to Holy Cross, Paris, Texas
When St. John the Evangelist Church (John's Close and Birchcliffe Road) became redundant in the late 1980s, members of an Episcopal church in Paris, Texas visited Hebden Bridge and purchased the congregation's well-loved furnishings including the baptistry, an altar, pulpit, vicar's chair and a prie-dieu; all pieces contributed by master craftsman, Robert "Mouseman" Thompson.

Holy Cross seeks more old photos of St Jeans
The Holy Cross parish in Paris, Texas is celebrating their 150th anniversary and gathering stories and photographs to identify the threads of the past that lead to today with the goal to publish a book of the church's history.
Church historians have located photographs of St. John's exterior and one photo of the nave as it was being dismantled. The church is hoping that someone has an interior photograph of St. John's including the furnishings in place.
There is a thread on the Old Photos Of Hebden Bridge Pre 2000 for memories shared by former St. John congregants.
