CROWS will be starting on the Doddnaze steps before Xmas as they have now received the £500 needed from their very generous supporters.
Help fund repairs to dangerous Doddnaze path
Monday, 11 November 2019
CROWS need to raise £500.
A very well used footpath from Doddnaze to bus stops and Hebden Bridge Railway station is very dangerous. The path is used by local residents including school students to get to school. But
- The path has some steps that are completely rotten
- There is a steep muddy slope known locally as ‘the slide of death’!
After discussion with some residents, CROWS volunteers who fix footpaths locally want to put in 50 steps to make it a safe route.
We have the promise of some funding from Calderdale Highways and a local landowner.
The £500 we need is just ten pounds a step
Help CROWS by sponsoring a step (or more than one)
There is a JustGiving campaign page or if you prefer, you can transfer funds direct into our bank account, or if it’s easier, you can drop a cheque or cash into Mountain Wild in Crown Street.
Details for all these are on the CROWS website
CROWS have told the HebWeb, "Winter weather makes this path even worse, so we will make a start as soon as possible – we won’t wait until all the money is in. If we could fix it by Xmas, what a great present it would be to the folks at Doddnaze."
