Green MEP Magid Magid to visit Hebden Bridge
Monday, 12 August 2019
Magid Magid is Yorkshire and the Humber’s Green Party Member of the European Parliament. He visited our area as part of his election campaign and is coming back this Friday 16th August as part of a tour of the region.
First stop will be Pollination Street in Todmorden at 12.30, where there will be ice cream and conversation. He will be talking to members of the public about their views on the European Union.
At 1.30pm he will be speaking at the town hall in Todmorden for ten minutes and will have lunch there. The European Straw Bale Gathering is meeting in the town hall.
Around 2.30pm Magid will travel to Hebden Bridge where he will speak to people in the square before heading off to the Precinct in Halifax, arriving sometime between 4 and 4.30pm with more free ice creams.
So why not meet up with Magid on Friday and have a chat with him about the European Union?
Magid says, "I'm really excited to get this tour started in one of the most beautiful parts of our region. I'm looking forward to meeting locals and sharing good conversation with them over some ice cream, about why it is imperative for us to remain the European Union, and why we must get ready to do all we can to make sure that's what happens".
Throughout the day, Magid will be filmed and a video will be put on social media with the highlights.
His visit to Calderdale is part of his “Ready for Remain” tour of Yorkshire and the Humber.
