Mytholmroyd Arts Festival: Calling all artists

Mytholmroyd Arts Festival, now in its fifth successful year, is delighted to invite artists to submit work to the Mytholmroyd Open Exhibition. The venue will be St Michael's Church, Mytholmroyd, 19th and 20th October 2019.
The main competition is for anyone aged over 18 and prizes will be awarded. The judges prize of £250 and the People's prize of £100. There will also be gift vouchers for winners of the Mytholmroyd Young Artist competition in three age categories.
"This is a great opportunity for anyone who makes art, whether a secret sketches or professional artist, to show their work, to sell it and to compete for our prizes” says Annie Harrison, the festival director.
"This is a way to bring the arts to the community to increase well being, community spirit. Our theme this year is Building Bridges not just physical links but between everyone who lives and works in Mytholmroyd”.
Up to 3 pieces of work can be submitted, drawings, paintings, photographs or textiles. Unfortunately we cannot display 3D objects at the exhibition. Submissions are open from 19th July until 6th September and applications can be made via our website.
The application fee is £10 for up to three pieces of work. Details of all festival events including free arts workshops, poetry event, storytelling and more will be available shortly. Check our website for details.
