Laughing for Palestine at the Trades Club

Mock the Week's Tez Ilyas tops the bill at Hebden Bridge Trades Club in a fundraiser for the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions.
Tez has also starred in hit sitcom Man Like Mobeen for BBC Three and was a guest on Channel 4's The Last Leg. Daphna Baram will compere the gig at the Trades on Thursday 21 March that will raise funds for ICAHD, which describes itself as a non-violent, direct-action group dedicated to ending the Israeli Occupation and achieving a just peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
Over the past two decades they have focused their activties on resisting the demolition of Palestinian homes and ICAHD members physically block bulldozers. They also mobilize Israelis and Palestinians to rebuild them building almost 200 homes in the past 20 years.
Also on the bill are Mo Omar described as 'Fresh and Feisty' by the highly respected comedy website Chortle, and Isma Almas dubbed "a one-woman antidote to Islamophobia" by Leeds Guide.
Doors open for Laughing for Palestine at 8pm and tickets are available at thetradesclub.com and from the venue box office.
