Comedy Club goes eclectic

Sunday 11 November, Old Gate, 8.30pm

Comedy comes in many different guises. Some swear by satire whereas others plump for puns so it should come as no surprise that comedians can be a pretty eclectic bunch too. The Hebden Bridge Comedy Club's next show, on Sunday 11th November, demonstrates this perfectly...

Robert White   Tez Ilyas

Describing himself as “the only gay, Aspergic, quarter-Welsh comic on the British comedy circuit”, Robert White's chaotic stage presence and improvisational skills had made him a firm favourite on the circuit long before winning the 2010 Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality. 2010 was most definitely a good year for Rob as he also penned one of Dave’s Top Ten Jokes of The Fringe.

Fast forward eight years and Robert was runner up in 'that' TV show and will be performing at Hebden Bridge Comedy Club before embarking on his 31 date 'Tank Top Tour'.

"Comedy flows from you like water" David Walliams

Armed with his trademark cheek and uncompromising approach, Blackburn's Tez Ilyas presents his slick, smart and typically subversive new stand-up show. As seen on Mock The Week, Live at the BBC, Channel 4’s The Last Leg – and heard on BBC Radio Four with two series of TezTalks, Tez has also dipped his toe into sitcom waters and will be starring as Eight in the new series of BBC's Man Like Mobeen

“Smart, subversive comedy with pin-sharp observations.” The Herald

Hull born Pierre Hollins and Glasgow's Marc Jennings complete what promises to be another excellent evening!

The show starts at 8.30pm prompt and tickets are priced at £8.50 from the Old Gate or online at Hebden Bridge Comedy website
