CROWS make temporary fix on riverside walk handrail
Wednesday, 15 August 2018
There is a bridge with a handrail just before Lee Mill Road as you walk along the popular Hebden Water riverside path from Hebden Bridge. The handrail has rotted off in several places and is not stable.
CROWS have now been and replaced a missing rail and put in a bracing strut.
The handrail is now much more rigid but this is a temporary fix (hence the hazard tape).
CROWS will consult Calderdale Highways about sorting the problem long term, but in the meantime be aware that the handrail is vulnerable.
Please tell any friends you know that walk the path.
