Lunchtime Live at the Baptist Chapel

Saturday 13th January at Hope Baptist Chapel. 1pm - 4pm.
Lunchtime Live is now a regular event in the Calderdale Calendar and is bringing some fantastic talent into our valley. It is really heartwarming to see all generations coming together and enjoying an afternoon of Live performance.
Hope Baptist Chapel is a great venue to host a community event such as Lunchtime Live and and the all ages are attending. It is a 'pay as you feel' event and everyone is welcome.
Refreshments are available.
Gerard Liston of the Baptist Church says, "It is great seeing the community coming together. Having Hebden Radio on board as one of the sponsors will help us to do just that, by reaching a wider audience'.
"We are thrilled by the way this event has taken hold after just two months. Not only does it make the most of the ambience and natural acoustics of the building, but it is a wonderful tribute to the quality of talent in and around Calderdale. Hope Chapel is right in the middle of Hebden Bridge, providing an inclusive sanctuary space for residents and visitors alike. Experiencing and celebrating musical gifts is all part of our vision of a place that contributes to wholeness and wellbeing for all."
This month we have the wonderful Irish singer, Emma Lusby who is true to her Irish roots and is influenced by the likes of Dervish and Sandy Denny. 21 year old Folk singer Emma Lusby has performed at Celtic Connections (2017), Glasgow, the Baltic State Folk Festival, Latvia and other festivals around the UK. Currently based in Liverpool, Emma performs at local gigs and events around the North West of England and Ireland. Last year, she collaborated with Irish/American roots singer Dylan Walshe and the artist Eamonn Karran's Celtic Skies album, released by the Californian record label, Real Music. At present, Emma is working alongside the company Cinematic Skies on a project to promote cultural tourism in Northern Ireland to be released later in the year.
Georgia Farrar is a singer/songwriter from Yorkshire who writes Pop-Country Music taking inspiration from the likes of Kacey Musgraves, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley and Tori Kelly. She is a regular on the music circuit and plays in many pubs and venues around the UK. Georgia has just released her EP 'Confessions of a Closed Book' and has a regular show on Hebden Radio. Her ambition is to get signed to a major Country label in Nashville, so hopefully performing on Saturday may just be the exposure she needs to get noticed by the right people.
Magdalen is an 18 year old singer and songwriter from Hebden Bridge who combines a wide range of influences to create a unique indie-folk sound. Magdalen's songs are characterised by poignant lyrics and catchy melodies, backed up in her solo performances by gentle acoustic guitar which creates a sense of intimacy and ensures the audience are drawn into Magdalen's songs. Magdalen is a regular on Sarah Courtney's open mic at The Trades
The Lazarus Boys are based in Calderdale and have been together for approx 3 years. Clive Corner singer/songwriter playing a Fender Telecaster Electric/ Yamaha acoustic.
Clive Worley on keyboard with song arrangements playing a Norde Keyboard and operating a drum machine. They play all original material in a variety of styles which is commercial and easily accessible (people often feel they have heard the songs before). The styles of music vary from straight pop, to pop jazz, to blues to rock to punk. The lads will be performing at Lunchtime Live on Saturday 13th of January at Hope Baptist Chapel at 1pm - 4pm.
