Pumpkins in Hebden Bridge

Hebden Royd Town Council are partnering with locally based Sand in Your Eye to deliver the areas very first Pumpkin Festival!
This morning, BBC Breakfast were in town and Bruce Cutts of the After Alice Project has sent photos to the HebWeb
A week of events for all the famility culminating in a spectacular Parade of Pumpkins on Sunday 29th October.
There will be family workshops, ghost walks, music, competitions, a pumpkin trail and more.
Sunday 29th October
Throughout the day you can walk around Hebden Bridge on the pumpkin trail. Spotting displays from Sand in Your Eye and fab window displays in shops, cafes, bars, and community groups! There will be music from Hebden Radio and Oxjam all through the day, face painting, stalls and much more.
2pm Live Carve Display in St Georges Square. Free Family Workshops in the Town Hall - Bring your own pumpkin. Bring your carved pumpkins to the Town Hall to enter the competiton.
3pm How to Trick a Boggart Trail with Ursula Holden Gill
5pm Everyone to meet to enjoy the evening entertainment and join the pumpkin trail. at Bridgegate Car Park. Live performances from Mr Wilsons Second Liners and Bazzmatazz.
6pm Parade begins.
Bring you own carved pumpkins and join the parade! Fancy dress optional, but hey it is Halloween (nearly!)
Competiton winners for the best window display, best carved pumpkins will be announced after the parade.
Please remember to only light pumpkins with LEDs no real candles. Bring your own or you can purchase them on the day from us, with donations to the Mayors Charity.
