Coming up at the Comedy Club
Thursday, 24 August 2017
After a brief break during the summer, Hebden's regular night of laughter returns to its usual home, upstairs at The Old Gate pub.
Sunday 10th September sees three comedians all in Hebden for the first time being introduced by Old Gate old hand Alex Boardman.
The show starts at 8.30pm prompt and tickets are priced at £8.50 from the Old Gate or online at www.hebdenbridgecomedy.co.uk.
If you like your funny with a dash of vitriol then Geordie and former maths teacher Carl Hutchinson hilariously squares off against life’s petty annoyances. From people who obnoxiously post motivational quotes on social media to those who urge you to put your phone in rice when you get it wet. Carl is a regular at clubs across the country and has supported TV's Chris Ramsey on his last two UK tours.
Bad assed black country lass Susan Murray takes no prisoners with her irreverent, close to the knuckle honest humour cut through with razor sharp cynicism. Susan was winner of the first ever Jongleurs competition and has subsequently emerged as one of the best female stand-ups around having had them rolling in the aisles across the globe.
"Dry, intelligent wit" - Stewart Lee
Alex Boardman is your compere for the evening and Radio 4's Rahul Kohli in the middle.
