Vandals target Hope Chapel's Community Garden

We've just had a super weekend with Open Gardens, complete with veg planted near the side entrance, only to be followed by someone choosing to smash up the much-used benches at the other end of the garden.
We intend to replace these with robust benches made from railway sleepers - but it's really frustrating, particularly as we're just planning the finishing touches after a huge amount of repair/refurbishment work in the chapel, ahead of reopening at the end of August ... with the first event being a community fundraiser in partnership with Hebden Bridge Round Table.
