History Societies Unite in aid of Flood Relief Fund

As part of Calder Valley Heritage Day, this Saturday 22nd October at Methodist Church, Market Street, Hebden Bridge.
Hebden Bridge, Cragg Vale and Mytholmroyd Historical Societies have come together to organise a joint venture, the proceeds of which are to go to the Flood Relief Fund.
A day of displays, talks and walks will be on offer.
The programme will consist of:
9.45 am. Registration and refreshments
10.15 am. Historical look at Cragg Vale with Yvonne Broadbent
This will be followed by a film or a choice of guided walks either along the Rochdale Canal or around Hebden Bridge.
Throughout the day there will be displays and exhibitions of photographs and memorabilia.
12 till 2 pm. Lunch - Drinks, sandwiches and cakes will be available to purchase. Over lunch you can sit and enjoy images from the Pennine Horizons Digital Archive
2 pm. Seven Centuries of Flooding in the Calder Valley with Nick Wilding to guide us.
Followed by a film or a choice of guided walks either along the Rochdale Canal or around Hebden Bridge.
