Picture House: halfterm afternoon changes to programme
Friday, 12 February 2016
In their mission to re-open the stalls on Good Friday, the Picture House schedule is being squeezed even more by unforeseen safety works necessary to the ceiling.
So during halfterm week, they have had to move matinee films on four of the weekdays to later on in the afternoon. This will allow teams of workmen longer working days at the cinema, in order to meet the deadline.
Four weeks ago, when the February brochure went to print, there was little idea how much remediation / refurbishment work would be needed and it was thought that the halfterm matinees would be fine.
On Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th, Wednesday 17th and Friday 19th February (half term week) the family matinee, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (U) at Hebden Bridge Picture House will screen two hours later than listed on the printed February programme to allow us to make essential progress with the post flood building works.
On these days, doors will open at 3.15pm, the programme will start at 3.30, the feature at 4.00pm and the film will end at 5.30pm.
Thursday's programme of Elevenses and the family matinee will run as printed.
Don't forget a family matinee ticket for 3 people is still just £15.
