Josienne Clarke and Ben Walker will be at the Hope Street Baptist Chapel on Friday 15 May for the Hebden Roots Weekend. Josienne and Ben will headline the opening concert supported by local favourites Molly Tilston, Dave Nelson and Charlie Carr and Taste Buds.

This is the first gig of their tour, so the first gig since winning their award. Josienne and Ben have taken the folk world by storm since getting together, partly due to the flawless voice of Josienne and Ben's signature guitar style but also because they can mix medieval madrigals with modern emotion and heartfelt songwriting. Tickets available at the Town Hall beforehand or on the door on Friday.

The line up for the Young Musicians showcase on Sunday evening at Hebden Bridge Town hall has just been finalised. Tales of Two Counties will headline and be supported by the fantastic Georgia Farrar who is about to step up to festival gigs this summer including the brand new Inn-Ovation festival in Elland. Local rocker Minus 8 will make an appearance as will several others include Zwela Dos Santos with Dan, Joey and Hannah, plus duo Rayenne and Lucy with songs written for the White Ribbon Campaign who are supporting the Showcase event.

The weekend also features Last Chance Saloon Band & Songs of the Sea on Friday at the Town Hall and an Americana concerts with My Sweet Patootie, Will Kaufman, Des Horsfall's Kuschty Rye and Lee Southall among others.
