Mytholmroyd Station Partnership bring together schools and local industry

As part of our community work, the Station Partnership and Neighbourhood group at Mytholmroyd have arranged for the local schools to become involved with local industry.
To start, Scout Road Academy will be producing artwork for the station depicting the local textile industry.
Mytholmroyd has one of the last weaving sheds in Yorkshire - Calder Weaving on Scout Road, producing quality fabric for Laura Ashley and DFS.
Managing Director, Alan Clayton gave the station volunteers a tour of his works and will be repeating this with the young artists from the Academy.
If anyone has any photos of the local textile industry which can be used for the 2015 station art project - they are asked to contact Geoff or Sue on 885154 before 30th April.
