Protest at Sainsbury's, Mytholmroyd

On Saturday 4th October members of both the Halifax Friends of Palestine and the newly formed Calder Valley Palestinian Solidarity Campaign groups, joined together to protest against Sainsbury's sourcing produce from companies that operate in illegal Israeli colonies.

Lisa Zychowicz told the HebWeb that "By importing fresh fruit and vegetables from these lands, Sainsbury's is supporting the continued destruction of Palestinian homes, land theft and Israel's brutal military occupation."

The Calder Valley Palestinian Solidarity Campaign group has been newly set up by and for people in Hebden Bridge.  The meetings are held at the Trades Club, Hebden Bridge at 7pm on every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month (the next two meetings are on Tuesday 14th and 28th October or for more details email email the group.
