Northern Rail - Next Franchise (2016-2025) Consultation

How do you want train services to improve?
The current franchise to operate the train services on the Northern and TransPennine Express railway networks expire in March 2016. The Department for Transport and Rail North are currently consulting on the content of the next franchise specifications. The consultation document is here and the closing date is 18th August. Individual rail users can respond personally.
The Upper Calder Valley Renaissance Sustainable Transport Group (S T Group) will be responding in detail, and is seeking the views of local train users and potential users to assist it in developing its response to the consultation.
There are two ways in which you can let the group know your views.
You can download and complete the ST Group's questionnaire (see below) or you can come to the group's consultation drop-in, which is being held on
Tuesday 15 July from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm
Greenwood Room, Hebden Bridge Town Hall.
If you complete the attached questionnaire, please return to Nina Smith of the Sustainable Transport Group by 31 July.
