Fabulous New Dance Teacher Joins Hebden Bridge Flamenco

There are many Flamenco lovers in the Calder Valley and in an exciting new development, Luisa Galan from Córdoba, Spain will be teaching flamenco dance classes in Hebden Bridge from May 1st 2014.
Hebden Bridge Flamenco is a focal point for the passionate art of Spanish Flamenco music in the North of England. After 8 years of teaching Flamenco dance, founder Patricia Skeet is handing over her dance classes to Luisa Galan. Patricia will continue to focus on teaching flamenco in schools.
"This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for anyone interested in learning flamenco dance in the district," Patricia told the HebWeb. "Luisa is a native of Andalucía, the cradle of Flamenco and is incredibly inspiring as a teacher, as well as fun and easy-going – a fantastic combination!"
Luisa is a highly experienced dancer and teacher. She trained in Spanish Dance, Flamenco and Classical Ballet at the Conservatoire de Cordoba and moved to England in 2001 to train in Contemporary Dance at NSCD. She has danced with "Sentires del sur", "Slanjayvah Danza", "Mudanza Teatro". She currently lives in Leeds and performs with Flamenco Diez and teaches Flamenco at Yorkshire Dance in Leeds.
Flamenco lovers will also enjoy the Leeds Flamenco Festival on June 6 /7 2014, Holy Trinity Church.
Hebden Bridge Flamenco classes will run with occasional guitarist from Thursday May 1st to June 5th 2014 (No class on 29th May) and Thursday June 12th to July 10th 2014. Beginners / Improvers 6.30-7.30p, £30 for 5 weeks. Intermediate 7.30 – 9.00pm, £45 for 5 weeks at Salem Community Centre, Central St., Hebden Bridge, HX7 6HB.
