A Day in the Life of Hebden Bridge's horse bench

The Horse Bench was installed on the banks of the Rochdale Canal in Hebden Bridge at the end of 2013.

Pennine Prospects commissioned photographer Steve Morgan to produce time lapse photography to capture "a day in the life of" the bench.

The sculptural feature on the Canal is part of a series of interpretative artworks that have been installed as part of the Canal Connections project.

The bench specifically commemorates the important role that horses played in relation to the Canal through history.

The bench was commissioned by Pennine Prospects, designed by Lucy Casson, cast by Hargreaves Foundry and funded by South Pennines Leader.
