Mytholmroyd Station building - open meeting
Thursday, 6 February 2014
After many years and hundreds of ideas for the building, the Station Partnership is hosting an Open meeting to ascertain if there sufficient interest within the local community to form an organisation to renovate the building for community use.
Details of the initial Plan are outlined in the Mytholmroyd Station Blog.
and the Open Meeting will be on Tuesday 4th March at the Good Shepherd Centre starting at 19.00hrs.
We will not be adding to list of ideas, but will have guest speakers discussing how local communities around the country have transformed their station buildings.
So far, we have Prof. Paul Salveson MBE, Brian Barnsley from the Association of Community Rail Partnerships and Sheena Campbell Conservation Officer on Calderdale Council.
After all these years of wondering what is going to happen to the disused railway offices, here is an opportunity for local folk to start a new and independent community association that could make a big difference to this and other old structures in the area.
