Josh Fenton-Glynn joins Forget Me Not children's hospice challenge

The Forget Me Not Children's hospice is a Huddersfield Based charity that looks after children from throughout West Yorkshire. Forget Me Not has a charity shop in Valley Road, Hebden Bridge.

Labour's Parliamentary Candidate for Calder Valley has joined with local businesses to help raise money for the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice. The challenge, set by the hospice for local businesses is to take £500 and use it to raise £5000 for the charity.

Josh is planning to have events throughout the valley linking up with local businesses and community groups in order to reach his target.

After seeing the campaign being launched online, Josh was eager to take part and told the HebWeb, "I know the work of Forget Me Not and it offers fantastic support and facilities to those families in difficult positions across West Yorkshire. On hearing about this challenge, I was eager to get involved and bring my local community together, as the hospice works with families throughout the Calder Valley community. The work local business do to support charities shows why they are so important to Calder Valley. So I reach out to the local community and ask for them to support out challenge, in whatever way they can."

Jason Costello, the Corporate Partnership Manager of the charity said, "It was great to hear from Josh via Twitter, his enthusiasm to get involved in our entrepreneurial fundraising challenge shone through when we met. Josh explained as the children's hospice is at the heart of our community he's going to work with his locally to reach his goal, he's said that he's already thought of ways to bring this to life but wouldn't tell me. On behalf of all the children and families we care for I can't thank Josh enough for signing up to be an inaugural Hundreds to Thousands campaigner."
