Pitch your tent in picture perfect surroundings
This summer the National Trust has created a ‘pop-up’ campsite at Hardcastle Crags, giving holiday makers an exclusive opportunity to sleep under the stars in the stunning local countryside.
The campsite is available from 8th to 31st August.
Hardcastle Crags is a wooded valley on the edge of Hebden Bridge. The campsite is in the perfect location for walking and exploring, as Judith Patrick, property manager at Hardcastle Crags, told us:
“This is our first time opening a campsite here at Hardcastle Crags and we hope it will prove to be very popular. The Crags is made for walking and discovering wildlife. Families can come and hunt for bugs, have a go at den building or geocaching, whilst ticking things off their list of 50 things to do before you’re 11 and three quarters.”
The facilities include home luxuries like showers and flushing toilets. Four-legged visitors are welcome too, so dogs can come along for the family holiday.
Bookings for pitches are now open and demand is growing. To reserve a pitch or find out more information, log onto www.nationaltrust.org.uk/yorkshire
