Blues Festival: 14 bands to play for free

Working in partnership with venues across the town and a Leeds music shop, the Hebden Bridge Blues Festival will have a record number of 14 bands playing for free this year at the “Juke Joints”.
"We only set this festival up because we love the music. That's why it is important to us that everyone in Hebden Bridge and local area gets the chance to hear a few bands. We had 238 applications from acts wanting to play at this year's festival, so the bands you can see in the venues for free are all extremely high quality,” festival director Jason Elliott told the Hebweb.

The participating venues are Old Gate Bar and Restaurant, The White Swan, The Crown Inn and Marshall's Bar for 9pm gigs every night.
During Saturday afternoon, JHS Music from Leeds are taking over the Main Stage inside Hope Baptist Chapel to showcase three of the Blues bands that use their own “Vintage” guitars.
