Mytholmroyd Flood Action formed
Monday, 17 December 2012
As a local response to this year's flooding, a number of local people have come together to form Mytholmroyd Flood Action. They will work on behalf of local residents and businesses in Mytholmroyd and Cragg Vale who may be at risk, and will look at ways to minimise the effects of any future flooding.
The most effective way of finding appropriate solutions to local flooding problems is for a community based group to work closely with the various agencies. Mytholmroyd Flood Action is already recognised as representing the voice of the local community by Calderdale Council, Emergency Planning agencies and the Environment Agency.
The group would like to hear from anyone living in Mytholmroyd who would like to become an active member and support future action to reduce the effects of flooding within the community.
If you have been affected by flooding in Mytholmroyd or Cragg Vale and would like to be a part of this new local initiative, please contact Jae Campbell, Upper Valley Neighbourhood Co-ordinator for further information. Telephone 01422 264622 or email
