Yet another big name for the Trades Club
After an epic 18 month chase the Trades Club has finally landed folk
genius King Creosote.
"I've had endless members telling me we should book King Creosote and
although he wanted to play the dates never worked out, but finally
after 18 months he is coming," Trades Club Ents Manager Mal
Campbell told the HebWeb.
King Creosote – AKA Kenny Anderson play the Trades as a duo on Friday
12th April and this will be one of his most intimate shows for a long
time.
He is also label head of the trendy Fence Records he set up to release
his own material and it is probably worth bringing a cushion for this
gig as he has released a staggering 40 albums since 1995.
This prolific tunesmith has an awesome reputation as a live performer
filling venues across the world but he also rated as one of Britain's
best songwriters. His daring collaboration with electronica guru Jon
Hopkins, Diamond Mine, won him a well deserved Mercury Prize
Nomination.
