Buses: Councils call meeting
Friday, 20 July 2012
A joint meeting of the Parish Councils of Wadsworth, Heptonstall, Erringden & Hebden Royd Town Council with WY Metro representative Dave Pearson, is to be held in the Council Chamber of Hebden Bridge Town Hall on Wednesday 25 July 2012 at 7.30 pm.
The meeting will be Clerked by Wadsworth Parish Council and questions have been submitted in advance but there will be an opportunity to table more. Questions include:
To suggest a review of timetables to avoid minibuses running alongside double deckers
To request assurance that once minibuses have been repaired following lack of maintenance by Tyrer, smaller buses will always be used to enable access to all routes
To request assurance that Tyrer will not be considered for future contracts
To request assurance that buses will actually turn up when advertised
To discuss the discontinuance of the late night flexi bus to Blackshaw Head and Kebs (The Sportsman)
To discuss measures to improve the viability of the service, such as extending the Kebs service to the Shore Road junction
To ask for assurances about the accuracy of record keeping and issuing of tickets
To discuss the establishment of a proper Focus group of customers, to meet regularly with Metro until all the longer term issues have been resolved
Should you have any questions please contact Linda Dean, clerk to Wadsworth PC by email as above or as myself below.
