Nursery Children will be going to Stubbings School from Wednesday. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Reception children will be going to Stubbings School from tomorrow.
Yrs 1 and 2 can return to Central Street School from tomorrow.
Thank you for your patience, and thank you to all the staff and contractors who have made it possible to partially re-open the school so soon.
Radio Leeds will be broadcasting the live from the school during the breakfast show tomorrow, and Craig Whitaker MP will be visiting the school between 10 and half past with the Minister for the environment.

Due to significant flood damage, Central St Infants School will not open on Monday 25th June 2012. We have organised for all Nursery children to be educated at Stubbings Infant school on Tuesday 26th June. Please go direct to Stubbings for 9 am. ALL children will need to bring a packed lunch please. We are striving to secure appropriate accommodation to educate Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 from Tuesday. Families will be informed on Monday afternoon of these arrangements via Hebweb, Local media and School Website. Thank you to the local community for all your support.
Central Street School will be closed to pupils on Monday 25th June due to floods. We hope to be open for Years 1 & 2 on Tuesday. We are trying to sort alternative accommodation for Nursery & Reception children from Wednesday. We will put updates on Hebweb, also on local radio. Unfortunately the computer system has been affected, meaning that the text service to parents is unavailable. Please spread the word.
The school was very badly affected by the floods last night - there was 18 inches of water through the ground floor. Lots of furniture, books and resources have been destroyed. Please be patient over the next few weeks as the clean-up operation continues.
Thank you to all those who came to school today - staff, parents, governors and even an ex-pupil! It made such a difference having so many people to help.
