Rebecca completes Great Manchester Run for Di Smith

On Sunday 20 May, Rebecca Yorke ran her first 10k in the Great Manchester Run, the largest event of its kind, with 40,000 runners taking part. She completed the course in 62 mins and 13 seconds – that's a respectable 17764th place!

She was running to honour her late friend and Hebden Bridge Arts Festival colleague Di Smith who sadly died from cancer last summer.

Rebecca has so far raised £880 for Macmillan Cancer Research and would like to thank everyone who has sponsored her so far. She told the Hebden Bridge Web that thinking about their support really helped her get round Manchester yesterday.
