Mytholmroyd Memorial Gardens Planting

Nearly 100 people turned up to help with the planting yesterday.

The local groups represented included Mytholmroyd Station partnership, Mytholmroyd Walkers Action, Royd Regeneration the Redacre Growing Project, Scout Road Project, Mytholmroyd Youth Club, Burnley Road School, St Michael’s Gardening Club, West Yorkshire Police and members of the public generally.

The age range of participants was 6 months – 80 years. Many thanks to Anne and Angus at the Dusty Miller pub for the bacon butties. Thanks also go to all the Calderdale Council staff who turned out to help.

We have not forgotten that the head of the soldier needs replacing. However we need to raise another £7,000. All donations gratefully received. People can ring Jade Smith on 885325.
