The Friends of Calder Holmes Park
The Friends of Calder Holmes Park is a voluntary organisation that works with Calderdale officers to make sure that the park provides facilities that serve the community in the best possible way. This partnership also looks at the ways that the park can continue to be developed in order to provide the best facilities for Hebden Royd.
More members are always needed. We appeal to parents of footballers, skaters, stunt bikers, younger playground users etc. We also appeal to others who use the park — walkers, dog owners, picnickers. You all have a stake in making sure that the park provides what we need and want it to be, for now and for the future.
Projects are always ongoing. Currently the skatepark extension is top of the agenda along with the refurbishment of the pavilion cafe. Next we hope to look at refurbishing the tennis courts which are now in quite a poor condition.
