I had a man come to our door with a long sob story, and as soon as I said I didn't buy at the door he became verbally abusive and left. He got into a white transit minibus on King Street parked next to the snack van, which took off soon after.

These schemes are nothing to do with probation and are literally preying on vulnerable people. Please look out for people like this and please please ensure any older neighbours and family members or anyone easily taken in is made aware and warned to avoid answering the door to cold callers. Certainly never engage or buy anything.
