Public toilets

I am hoping to visit Hebden Bridge next Thursday 22 April, with some friends. However, we are concerned that there might not be any public toilets open. I can't seem to find out anywhere, whether this is right or not. However, I presume that there are cafes and pubs open serving outside, so wondered, also, if it was allowed to use their toilets? We would understand if we needed to buy some food or drink in order to use these.
I would be very grateful if anyone could let me know .

This news item from Calderdale Council would appear to give the current information
http://news.calderdale.gov.uk/open-for-business-3/
Although it is dated 1 April, there's little reason to doubt the info.

When I was in HB on Friday the public toilets at the bus stop on the main road by Hope Baptist were open, but not the ones on Valley Road.

I have to say that the visitor/toilet ratio has been disturbing me for some months now. I can only presume that the tourists have bladder capacity far greater than mine, or else there must have been a fair bit of en plein air pi**ing.
