Blaming BAME groups for breaking Covid restrictions

I think it is terrible that our MP Craig Whittaker is blaming BAME groups in his constituency for breaking Covid-19 restrictions.
I have seen a lot of people in our local area breaking restrictions by not social distancing, crowding together in parks and pubs, and very few of these people are from BAME backgrounds.
How many Muslims are going to pubs and getting drunk just now? This view seems blatantly racist and should be challenged.

When a politician makes these kinds of very public discriminatory statements, at least we get to see their true views. We already know he voted against gay marriage. If he upsets enough minority groups then maybe Calderdale can vote in a different party sometime soon.
