Joan Pearce whose discharge from hospital was celebrated in the HebWeb has published poetry. This one is appropriate for the season and the times:
SPRING
Zephyrus, in a playful mood,
Ruffles the surface of lakes
And shakes the weeping willow trees,
While those solitary people
Who sit apart on park benches
Dream of dangerous liaisons
And rendezvous in secret places.
Yet couples keep to stony paths
With their tiny primrose borders.
But in the grassy open spaces
Daffodils in frilly skirts
Dance a joyful rite of Spring
To honour the flower-decked Chloris
Poetry is Humanities Songbird
