Bankside snicket

How can the district declare its concerned about our local environment, pollution, and parking, getting folk to leave their cars at home and walk if they're able to, and leave a vital snicket like Bankside, that runs up towards Sandy Gate from by Stubbing School, in such a shocking state. It is virtually unusable. It is full of weeds, leaves and slime, with loads of bushes and ivy invading the footpath at the top.
Years ago, paths like Bankside and the Buttress were much more used because people had no car, but also possibly because they were kept weed free by a bloke employed by the Council. Seems like a good investment, but if not maybe the people who have yards and gardens on either side could have a bit of a clean up session.
