Amazed to see when driving along Market Street at 9pm on Saturday night that only one shopkeeper had bothered to fit their flood boards.

The uplands are waterlogged and the river is high. You've made the financial investment to protect your livelihood, so why not help yourselves to survive if another flood strikes?

So many of us helped you after the Boxing Day floods, and other flood events. I'll maybe think twice next time - I'm not being thoughtless or selfish; perhaps you are?
