The BBC report referred to on the Home page regarding the delayed introduction of new six car trains in West Yorkshire refers to Northern's new class 331 electric trains for the Leeds - Doncaster /Bradford Forster Square /Skipton /Ilkley routes, which predominantly use the shorter terminal platforms at Leeds station.

Northern's new three and six car class 195 diesel trains, which will operate on the Calder Valley line, will mainly use the longer through platforms at Leeds and are still on target for a phased introduction from this May onwards, as platform lengthening works at local stations are now complete.
