I am told by TLC drivers that the 596 route to Blackshaw Head will be diverted via Lee Wood due to road works on Towngate in Heptonstall.

This means that no buses will serve Heptonstall from 4th to 11th April and passengers will have to walk there from either Slack Top or Cross Lanes

It does occur to me that it might have been better if the buses at 0845 and hourly until 1645, which normally turn round at Slack had run to Heptonstall and round the estate before going back down again it might have been possible to provide some sort of service, during the day at any rate.
