Come on Hebden Bridge... this just has to be our chance to make a difference too. There are so many crafty, talented people here - can we do this? Crickowell in Wales are declaring themselves offshore for tax purposes. Read their story. it's brilliant. Can someone clever tell me if it will work?

Are you really suggesting a campaign to use tax avoiding loopholes for Hebden Bridge?
Let's spread this "great idea" around the country and then we can really complain about government cuts when the local Hospitals shut and the street lights go out

Sorry Ian - but please read the article. The whole point is to force government to close the loopholes that allow the big corporations to get away with these massive tax dodging tactics. If many towns do the same the idea is that this would force change.
Of course I'm opposed to the tax dodgers !

Glad we've sort of cleared that up although it seemed an odd suggestion that the way to force corporations to pay their fair share was all of us had to become tax dodgers too.
